Disappointing start to the season

Albert Chacko continued his brilliant form of last season to beat Norton Canes skipper Mike Hoare but 3B still lost 2.5- 1.5. Albert found a neat sacrifice in the opening and went on to mate Mike’s King in the middle of the board.

Phil Sykes drew on board two, Bill Kimberley lost a Rook in the opening whilst Maurizio Baravalle established a clearly won position before blundering. (Match played August 19th).
