First team crushed by title challengers

A below strength Lichfield team was crushed 5.5 – 0.5 by South Birmingham A, the team most likely to win the Birmingham League first division championship. Lichfield were conceding an average of 300 rating points per player.

Tony Green prevented the whitewash. He had all the pressure throughout the game before being forced to accept a draw in time trouble.
