Adam Routledge on board one agreed a draw after 15 moves, begging the question should he have played on in view of his brilliant league performance this season? John Fryer had a piece for two pawns, then lost the exchange back. resulting in an even game and an agreed draw. Peter Rose was also in an even game which ended with an opposite coloured Bishop end game. Peter however had an advanced a-pawn and his opponent allowed him to create a second passed pawn on the g file. Unable to stop both, his opponent gave up his Bishop for the g pawn and Peter was able to use his King to mop up the remaining pawns.
Mike Hoare was the last to finish. His opponent was very low on time, played for the increment for a while but was eventually beaten by the clock.(Match played 12th March)
