Promoted Emilie wins again

Lichfield’s rising young star Emilie Nastase played on board one for the first time for Lichfield 3A, faith that was rewarded with a win over Oscott’s 1600 rated Sam Whitehouse. The ratings system has yet to catch up with Emilie’s progress as she is currently listed at 1200 whilst a number of club members think of her as a 1600 player.

It was a good night too for another young Lichfield player, Isaac Adams, who got his best result with a win on board 4. Meanwhile Dad, Ben lost and Rob Frost drew as Lichfield won 2.5 – 1.5 to consolidate their position in mid table in the Cannock League third division. (Match played 30th March).
