Lichfield had a comfortable win by 2.5 – 1.5 at Norton Canes. Rob Frost managed to Queen a pawn to complete his board one victory and Maurizio Barravalle drew after a very even struggle. Andrew Thornett carelessly lost a Bishop and his game on board three and Stuart Andrews checkmated his rather inexperienced opponent on board four.
